Dear Parents,
We have gone through our donation sheets for the dessert auction. Thank you to those who have already donated your time, talent or money. We only have pledges for half of the desserts we usually receive. Also, we need more parents to volunteer to work (even if it is for an hour) at the event.
I have attached the form and am asking (ok…begging) you to volunteer your time and some desserts. In order to make things go faster, you could open the attachment, fill it out on line, and send it back to Dee Kirwan, our coordinator via email.
Please remember that most of the money earned at the event goes toward choral camp scholarships.
Thanks again for your consideration!

Hello Parents!
It's all about to start! I'm Terry Krehbiel, and I am so looking forward to directing your kids in our upcoming production of The Music Man! As I hope you and the kids are aware, our first meeting is at 6:00 pm tomorrow, Monday, January 25. All students are to meet in the choir room at 6 sharp.
All parents are encouraged to attend the parent orientation meeting in the library at that time. At this meeting those of you who don't know me yet will have a chance to meet me and our choreographer, Candace Winters-March. Our Choral director, Melanie Butcher may pop her head in but will already be hard at work with the kids.
We will outline rehearsal expectations and go over the production schedule. At that time we'll also entertain any questions you may have. Our enormous success with past musical productions has been in large part due to the participation of parents. At our meeting we will discuss the various committees and the opportunities for you all to lend your expertise to help our kids once again mount a wonderful production.
Looking forward to seeing you. Please feel free to call or email me if you can't make the meeting.
And at any time, for any reason, please don't hesitate to reach me at any of the following:

Dear Parents,
Just a reminder that the donation sheets for the Dessert Auction are due tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 21st). If your son/daughter is in band, we will of course take them on Friday, January 22nd when they next have rehearsal. We highly encourage you to donate your time, baking talent or cash donations to this event. Most of the proceeds go to support the Macomb Choir Booster Scholarship fund.
Thanks in advance for anything you can offer!

Dear Parents:
My mother has to have heart surgery on Thursday, Jan. 21st so the band directors are graciously switching full rehearsal days with me this week.
Band-choir students will have band on Thursday, Jan. 21st and Choir on Friday, Jan. 22nd. Choir only students has the same schedule as usual.
For junior high students, I am hoping that I get a music sub so that lessons can go on regardless of me being here.
Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Parents,
Hope that you had a great holiday with your families. I have just a couple of reminders as we get back into the swing of things.
First, there is no swing choir tomorrow morning (Monday, January 4th). We will have a brief rehearsal on Wednesday, January 6th (until about 3:50 pm). On Wednesday, I will give out the snack and rehearsal calendar for the month.
Secondly, any student who would like to sing a solo on the Saturday, February 20th solo/ensemble contest is expected to sing it for me in the next week or so. I will have lesson times available for them to show me that they are working on their piece. It doesn't need to be perfect, but I won't enter them in the contest on February 20th unless they "check off" with me. Soloists are also expected to provide their own accompanist (we have a list of suggested accompanists on the permission slip). If your child cannot afford the customary $20.00 accompanist fee, please let me know and the choir boosters will be happy to assist you with that cost.
Lastly, all students who want to be in any event (solo or ensemble) for the Saturday, February 20th contest, need to bring a permission slip by Tuesday, January 5th. If your son/daughter has lost their permission slip, you might look back at previous emails from me for the information or you can find the slip on the Macomb Choirs Website www.macombchoirs.org. From the permission slips that are turned in, I will generate ensembles. The choir boosters covers the cost for the accompanists for the ensembles, so students who wish to be in ensembles just need to turn in that permission slip. The only athletic conflict for Saturday, February 20th is the junior high boys Canton Invitational Wrestling meet.
Thanks and have a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
