Members present: John Meixner, Sandy Larimer, Kathy Burdick, Erin Stegall, Melanie Butcher, Donella Anderson, Lisa Fulkerson, Marilyn Olsen, Sheryl Hansen, and Jamie Lane
The meeting was called to order at 5:02 by John Meixner. The secretary's minutes have been posted online and were not read at the meeting.
The treasurer, Sandy Larimer, will be resigning her post after 7 years on the job. We thank her for her hard work all of these years. She presented her last Treasurer's Report, including camp scholarships for 53 Macomb Jr/Sr High students.
A slate of officers for next year was presented and approved as follows:
President, John Meixner; Vice-President, Kathy Burdick; Secretary, Jamie Lane; Treasurer, Donella Anderson; Dessert Auction/Pops Concert, Dee Kirwan and Cheryl Baker; Poinsettia Sale, Sheryl Hansen; Shirt Lady, Dee Kirwan; Hospitality, Marilyn Olsen; Musical Liason, Kathy Burdick; Publicity, Kathleen O'Donnell Brown; and Website, Sean O'Donnell Brown
Under new business, Erin and Melanie gave us quotes for several purchases they will be needing next year:
Choir letter – We discussed joining with the band in having letters printed with "band", "choir" or both. Melanie will look into this. We also discussed having a musical note or other symbol for the choir students to pin onto their letter every year.
The Chicago trip for a musical was discussed and several programs and dates were discussed. Erin and Melanie will be working on this over the summer. We approved money for a deposit when the decision is made. They will also be getting quotes for buses.
The calendar for next year was presented with a couple of corrections. The dates will be:
Sept 3rd, Oct 8th, Nov 5th, Dec 3rd, Jan 7th, Feb 4th, March 4th, April 1st, and May 6th – The first Thursday of the month at 5:00 pm
Erin and Melanie received a thank you note from Amanda Lewis, the student teacher this spring. The note was presented to the secretary, and read as follows:

Thank you so much for the gift. Really, you all should be the ones receiving a gift. You donate your time, energy, and money in order to support this growing choir program. As a future music educator, I appreciate it more than you could ever imagine! Thank you so very much.
